INSTITUTION AND FOUNDATIONS

The Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church (GELC) is organized into five dioceses, led by a Moderator, with Ranchi serving as its main headquarters. The Dean oversees the central congregation in Ranchi. Currently, the church has around 500,000 members across 1,687 pastorates located in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Uttar Pradesh, and major cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. The church also has a presence in various northeastern states.

The Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church operates a network of 12 diverse institutions and foundations throughout India, reflecting its unwavering commitment to education, healthcare, technical training, and social welfare. Gossner Theological College
